Georgia Air National Guardsmen from the 165th Security Forces Squadron, Georgia National Guard, participate in an air base ground defense field training exercise July 15, 2022 at the 165th Airlift Wing in Savannah, Georgia. The defenders’ mission during the field training was to deploy into a hostile environment where they must foot patrol into an area and then seize, clear and protect the area and its assets from opposing forces. Over the duration of the 4-day exercise, teams were tasked with missions outside the wire to clear the area of hostile forces that had the intent of disrupting the Air Force mission to which they were successful.
