Five months into their mandates, and despite a challenging start caused by the continuing sanitary crisis and a shift to virtual activities, Cohort 3 Youth Mentors have proven time and time again the strength of their resilience and determination to effectively promote positive change in their communities with every twist and turn. With over 880 youth participations in L2D, storytelling, and PIS trainings as well as over 900 mentoring sessions performed in their first four months, each Youth Mentor was able to reach +30 youth, making it a successful start of this Cohort. The month of May marks the first time that all 16 community teams implemented their activities in-person; under the slogan “Everyone needs a Mentor” the team embarked on a journey across the communities to witness firsthand the incredible effect of these young leaders in their regions.
The trip represented a chance to visit all of the phase 3 communities and see the YMs in action, as well as meet
with the Ma3an local partners who have been more than supportive of the YMs across their activities. This cooperation ensures integration between different Ma3an components towards the ultimate goal of benefiting the community youth.
