PACIFIC OCEAN (July 28, 2022) Royal Australian Navy Canberra-class landing helicopter dock ship HMAS Canberra (L02), Republic of Korea Navy Dokdo-class amphibious assault ship ROKS Marado (LPH 6112), Henry J. Kaiser-class fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser (T-AO 187), U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102), Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Washington Chambers (T-AKE 11), Royal Australian Navy Anzac-class frigate HMAS Warramunga (FFH 152), sail in formation during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022, July 28. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, three submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
