NORFOLK (July 28, 2022) – Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Alex Placencia and Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Benjamin Taylor, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) release a mooring line during sea and anchor while departing BAE Systems Shipyard to transit to Naval Station Norfolk, July, 28. 2022. The Wasp has been in a dry-dock selected restricted availability maintenance period at BAE Systems Shipyard for nearly 18 months and will now begin a continuous maintenance availability.
