SAN DIEGO (July 29, 2022) – Engineman First Class Vincent Decker and Aidan Toohig, son of Cmdr. Robert Toohig, control a fire hose on the flight deck of Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Montgomery (LCS 8) during a "Friends and Family Day." LCS are fast, agile, mission-focused platforms designed to operate in near-shore environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
