(July 26, 2022) – Seaman Katherine Ohearn (middle), assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), demonstrates manual operation of the sliding pad eye to an assessor as part of Readiness Evaluation 7, July 26, 2022. Bataan is currently underway for READ-E 7, which is a type commander-led assessment that focuses on ensuring the ship is in the proper material condition.
