U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. John F. Kelliher III, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic, Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Northern Command commander, establishes his intentions and expectations as the incoming commander during the succession of command ceremony at Camp Elmore, Virginia, Aug. 4, 2022. During the ceremony Lt. Gen. Michael E. Langley, the outgoing commander, relinquished his duties to the incoming commander, Kelliher. The commander is responsible for proper employment and support of Marine Corps Forces and executing developmental procedures to fulfill the Service-retained operating forces in support of the combatant commander.
