U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Cory Demery, a maritime law enforcement specialist aboard USCGC Bear (WMEC 901), commences fire on one of the Bear's .50 caliber guns during a gunnery exercise (GUNNEX) in Operation Nanook, Northern Atlantic Ocean, Aug. 5, 2022. The GUNNEX was undertaken by all vessels participating in Operation Nanook and featured a course of fire on a Canadian unmanned, remote controlled small craft.
