A U.S. Marine CH-53E Super Stallion, with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is attached to a joint light tactical vehicle by Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 31 aboard Expeditionary Mobile Base USS Miguel Keith (ESB-5) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 8, 2022. This exercise proves the 31st MEU can bring heavy equipment to even the most remote locations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
