U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District leadership met with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Erie County today at the Scoby Dam project in Springville, NY to get an overview of the project and understand some of the challenges ahead.
The Springville Dam project would restore native fish passage between the upper and lower Cattaraugus Creek watershed, while maintaining a barrier to the invasive Sea Lamprey, but was put on hold as resources shifted to overcome and respond to the impacts of COVID-19.
