U.S. Army V Corps senior staff leaders explore the Vossenack War Cemetery during the unit’s Siegfried Line Campaign and Battle of the Bulge Staff Ride in Hürtgenwald, Germany, August 6, 2022. This staff ride takes historical analysis of the Siegfried Line campaign and Battle of the Bulge during WWII, part of the preliminary study, extensive-field-study and integration phases of an Army staff ride to capture the lessons derived from each event and further the professional development of Army leaders. As America's forward-deployed corps in Europe, V Corps works alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat ready forces, executes joint and multinational training exercises, and retains command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European theater while building local community relationships.
