U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. John T. Haggerty, the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit surgeon, is awarded the Fleet Marine Force Warfare Officer pin aboard the Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 8, 2022. The FMF Warfare Insignia, also known as the FMF badge or FMF pin, are three military badges of the U.S. Navy which are issued to those U.S. Navy officers and sailors who are trained and qualified to perform duties in support of the United States Marine Corps. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
