U.S. Marines assigned to Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), exit an MV-22 Osprey to conduct tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) training in Syndalen, Finland, Aug. 10, 2022. The TRAP mission was part of a bilateral exercise between the Finnish Armed Forces and the 22nd MEU. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interest.
