U.S. Army National Guard Lt. Col. Matthew Brown, is promoted to colonel at the Vermont National Guard Library and Museum in Colchester Vermont, August 12, 2022. Col. Brown's uncle and Vietnam Veteran Dave Bombardier presented Col. Brown with his new rank. Col. Brown enlisted into the 3-172 Infantry (Mountain) in 1993 as a mechanic and commissioned through the Vermont State Officer Candidate Program in 1998 as an Armor Officer.
