U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Leviticus Murray, a rifleman with Battalion Landing Team 2/6, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), uses a compass for land navigation during bilateral training with the Finnish Navy on Russaro Island, Finland, Aug. 11, 2022. During the training, U.S. Marines and Finnish soldiers integrated to increase interoperability between their forces. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and embarked 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
