Chief Warrant Officer 2 Courtney Lawrence, director, “The Commandant’s Own,” U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, marches down “center walk” during a Brigadier General Select Orientation Course Honors Ceremony at Marine Barracks Washington, Aug. 15, 2022. The ceremony honors newly promoted and soon-to-be brigadier generals and senior executives. BGSOC is an annual, week-long course held in the National Capital Region to instruct the newly promoted individuals on their new rank and responsibilities.
