    A group of young Navajo girls sing the national anthem in their native language during the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Navajo Code Talkers at Tse Bonito, N.M., Aug. 14, 2022. In 1982, U.S. President Ronald Reagan designated Aug. 14 as National Navajo Code Talkers Day. Proclamation 4954 encouraged all Americans to remember and honor the contributions of the Navajo Nation and all Native Americans who gave of their special talents and their lives in service of our country so that others might live.
