U.S. Marines with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to USS New Orleans (LPD 18), prepare to offload pallets during a replenishment at sea aboard LPD 18 in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 15, 2022. LPD 18 conducted a RAS with USS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) to restock on food, supplies and mail. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific Region.
