Simulated evacuees are checked in to Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) by a Sailor with LHA-7, 7th Fleet, during a non-combatant evacuation operation exercise, in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 14, 2022. NEO training ensures the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group is proficient and efficient as a crisis response force. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
