U.S. Marine water purification specialists with Combat Logistics Battalion 22 set up a Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) during a 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) field exercise on Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina, Aug. 22, 2022. The TWPS draws water from a given source, in this case a bay, and purifies it for human consumption. The exercise is running concurrently to CLB-22’s Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation, the Marines and sailors are working together to demonstrate proficiency in individual and collective skills prior to the upcoming Marine Air-Ground Task Force composite.
