Maj. Gen. John C. Harris Jr. (standing), Ohio adjutant general, addresses a group of Ohio legislators and staff members during an orientation flight and familiarization tour Aug. 12, 2022, at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio. In addition to a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter flight, conducted by members of the 1-137th Aviation Regiment, attendees also received presentations and viewed static displays from the Ohio Homeland Response Force, 52nd Civil Support Team and Company B, 2-19th Special Forces Group. Orientation events provide an opportunity to educate key external stakeholders about the Ohio National Guard’s missions and capabilities.
