U.S. Air Force Capt. Dave Carr, a pilot, and Senior Airman Nicholas Hawkins, a crew chief, both with the 914th Air Refueling Wing, New York, visually inspect the exterior of a KC-135 Stratotanker August 29, 2022 on a flightline in the Indo-Pacific Area of Responsibility. The Stratotanker was on a mission to refuel a U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon, with the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. The Poseidon is multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft, specializing in anti-submarine warfare; anti-surface warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and search and rescue.
