    U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Phillip Ash, the commanding officer of Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 223, completes preflight checks on an AV-8B Harrier II jet at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, Aug. 30, 2022.
