U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Lewis, a native of Daytona Beach, Florida, graduated from Triton Regional High School In 2012 and enlisted out of Recruiting Substation South New Jersey in 2014. The purpose of the training was to increase Helicopter Support Team proficiency and to practice Expeditionary Advanced Base concepts in preparation for future operations. 3rd MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III MEF’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
