U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 2 Chris Leonard, the officer in charge of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 26, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), uncovers a simulated anti-personnel mine as part of a training exercise near Kristianstad, Sweden, Aug. 27, 2022. The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group and 22nd MEU, under the command and control of Task Force 61/2, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
