U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Abril Ochoa, a distribution liaison assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and serving as a Marine Corps martial arts instructor, leads a set of squad push-ups during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program sustainment exercise aboard Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7), in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 30, 2022. This MCMAP sustainment refreshed Marines and Sailors in warfighting techniques for basic close combat lethality. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
