WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M. – The 15th Space Surveillance Squadron, Detachment 1, monitors high-interest space objects from White Sands Missile Range, N.M., Aug. 24, 2022. The operations team at Det. 1 uses mechanically driven optical telescopes known as ground-based, electro-optical deep space surveillance sensors to track and catalog these objects.
