PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 5, 2022) - U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Handler 3rd Class Quante Thompson, assigned to amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), guides an MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 362, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, during take-off, Sept. 5. A force in readiness, the 13th MEU trains to rapidly respond to crises in all domain environments through naval power projection. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and USS John P.
