A classroom sits empty for the weekend at a school site where U.S. military engineers are conducting renovations in support of Pacific Angel 22-4 in Baucau, Timor-Leste, Sept. 10, 2022. The operation is scheduled for Sept. 12-17 and will focus on capacity building through health service outreach, subject matter expert exchanges and civil engineer renovation projects. The Indo-Pacific Command sponsors Pacific Angel to promote interoperability and demonstrate Department of Defense support capabilities for humanitarian assistance and disaster relief events by conducting global medical outreach and enhancing regional partnerships.
