U.S. Marines with Food Service Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 37, 3d Marine Logistics Group, explore cave systems during a cave crawling tour, in Yomitan, Okinawa, Japan, Sep. 9, 2022. During the tour, Marines were taught how cave systems were used during the Battle of Okinawa. 3d MLG, based out of Okinawa, Japan, is a forward-deployed combat unit that serves as III Marine Expeditionary Force’s comprehensive logistics and combat service support backbone for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
