Darren Hamby, right, JTF-CS Incident Support Team 1 Officer-in-Charge, describe the team’s ability to rapidly deploy in response to a catastrophic manmade or natural disaster to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command Deputy Operations Officer and Exercise Director, Coast Guard Rear Adm. Sean Regan, during his visit to JTF-CS headquarters on Ft. Eustis, Virginia, Sept. 14, 2022. Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command, JTF-CS conducts chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear disaster response and all-hazards defense support of civil authorities training and operations in support of lead federal agencies in order to save lives, mitigate human suffering, and prevent further injury.
