Randall Roberts greets William B. Busier after the POW/MIA Day observance at Camp Johnson, Vermont, on Sept. 16, 2022. POW/MIA Day is observed the third Friday of September to honor veterans who were held as prisoners of war or who were missing in action. Busier was captured by Nazi Germans and held at Stalag Luft 9A for six months. Roberts is a former commander of the Col. Donald G. Cook chapter of the Disabled American Veterans charity.
