U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. John Haggerty, a medical surgeon with 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, presents a promotion warrant to hospital corpsman 2nd class Joelle Eusebiodupont, with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st MEU, during her promotion aboard Amphibious Assault Ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7), in the Philippine Sea, Sept. 13, 2022. The Meritorious Advancement Program recognizes sailors whose performance reflects a rank higher than their current station, and ensures they are allowed to reach their full potential. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
