PACIFIC OCEAN (July 6, 2022) - Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Malcolm Butler directs a U.S. Marine Corps CH-53E Super Stallion with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362 (Reinforced) on the flight deck aboard amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), July 6. The ability to operate seamlessly and simultaneously on the sea, ashore, and in the air represents the unique value of the amphibious capability provided by the Navy–Marine Corps team. Marines and Sailors of the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) are underway conducting integrated training operations in U.S. 3rd Fleet.
