EAGLE LAKE, Texas — An agent from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration visits with cadets at the Texas Challenge Academy to talk about the dangers of illicit drug use, especially the current threat of fentanyl poisoning in illicit drugs during a semesterly visit to the school Sept. 9, 2022, in Eagle Lake, Texas. The Texas National Guard Joint Counterdrug Task Force partners with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration twice a year to host a presentation from a DEA Agent at each semester of the Texas Challenge Academy to provide updated information, statistics and warnings to the cadets regarding illicit drug use, overdose deaths and the dangers of illicit drugs pose to the cadets, their friends and thier loved ones.
