Disc golf is a popular activity for residents and visitors of Mosquito Creek Lake in Cortland, Ohio. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District operates the reservoir to provide flood protection for the Mahoning River Valley as well as for the Beaver and upper Ohio rivers. Mosquito Creek Lake also stores water and releases it downstream during dry periods to improve water quality and quantity for domestic and industrial use, recreation, aesthetics and aquatic life. The reservoir’s recreation areas offer residents and visitors with opportunities to camp, boat, picnic and enjoy a round of disk golf.
