Camp Casey, South Korea - Over 100 Medics across the Korean Peninsula gathered to compete in the week-long Army’s Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) competition at Camp Casey, South Korea. In the end, 15 candidates completed all the events required to earn the coveted EFMB.
The Expert Field Medical Badge is a grueling and intense competition that tests medical personnel on their proficiency and professional skills to become expert field medics. Candidates must complete the physical fitness assessment, day and night land navigation course, evacuation and tactical combat casualty care lanes, warrior skills, and a 12-mile foot march. Those who pass demonstrate that they have the combat performance capability necessary to lead troops under the toughest of conditions.
