A-10 Thunderbolt IIs assigned to the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron (TES), Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, drops a Cluster Bomb Unit on the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), Sep 13, 2022. A-10s dropped CBUs to evaluate bomblet dispersion, pattern, and effectiveness against armored targets. In addition to the 422 TES personnel, experts from Operational Weaponeering, 96th Test Wing, Eglin AFB, were at the NTTR to evaluate battle damage on the targets for potential updates to Weaponeering models and software.
