Megan Hackett assigned to U.S. Army Parachute Team, known as the Golden Knights, pets a Lutheran Church Charities (LCC) Comfort Dog during a tandem jump event in Davis, Calif. Sept. 15, 2022.
Two LLC dogs were on hand with military handlers. One of the dog handlers was a tandem jump participant.
The Golden Knights teamed up with Northern California Recruiting Battalion to provide tandem jumps to approved community partners such as: local and national celebrities, media personnel, educators, and community leaders.
These tandem jumps allow participants to experience the freefall with the Golden Knights while in a safe, carefully controlled setting as a way to showcase the skills and qualities of U.S. Army Soldiers. (U.S. Army photo by Tim Jensen/Released)
