U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to Det. 1 Company B, 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion, 59th Aviation Troop Command (59th ATC), South Carolina National Guard, provide airlift and air assault support to a U.S. Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) training event with two-ship formation of CH-47 Chinook helicopters. The exercise took place at multiple, undisclosed, locations, in South Carolina and Georgia, Feb. 22-24, 2022. The event included load and unload operations of a MARSOC MRZR all-terrain vehicle, as well as insertions and exfiltrations by-air, and close air support provided by AH-64D Apache helicopters, also assigned to the 59th ATC.
