Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker presents a proclation recognizing September 25 as Gold Star Mother’s Day in Illinois to recognize the mothers who suffered the supreme tragedy in the loss of their sons and daughters in wars and remember the sacrifice they have made. Since 1936, Gold Star Mother’s and Family Day has taken place to recognize the loved ones of those who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty.
