U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Joseph Paschall Jr., a native of Madison, Alabama, and team leader assigned to the Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), prepares for special patrol insertion and extraction (SPIE) training on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Sept. 29, 2022. SPIE enhances Marines’ ability to maneuver through arduous environments, granting the Marine Air-Ground Task Force commander flexibility when inserting or extracting from complex terrain.
