Ms. Donna MacKenzie, Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) legendary Executive Assistant to the Commander, closed out a distinguished 52-year career of Federal Service, Sep. 30, 2022. MacKenzie spent an amazing 50 of these years at NMCSD where she has become an institution. Mr. Mark Boman, Chief of staff, Naval Medical Forces Pacific and Director, Civilian Corps, Navy Medicine, delivers remarks in front of NMCSD staff and visitors who turned out to wish MacKenzie well as she retires. NMCSD San Diego's mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
