A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey is staged on the flight deck aboard USS New Orleans (LPD 18), in the Philippine Sea, Oct. 2, 2022, during a personnel drop-off. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and Filipino Marines with the Philippine Marine Corps arrived to the Rushmore in preparation for KAMANDAG 6. KAMANDAG is an annual, bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
