U.S. Marines and Sailors with 2d Battalion, 2d Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, demonstrate a Brazilian tactic for carrying casualties during a first aid class as part of a bilateral jungle training event in Manaus, Brazil, Sept. 26, 2022. U.S. partnerships in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibly are forged by shared challenges and common objectives. Bilateral training events such as jungle training develops and sustains relationships that improve the capacity of U.S. and partner nation maritime forces to achieve common desired effects.
