Matt Tomes, director and administrative officer for Rock Island National Cemetery in Illinois fielded questions from retirees about requirements for burial in the cemetery. Located on Rock Island Arsenal, the cemetery is managed by the National Cemetery Administration. The historic cemetery is currently undergoing a $6.2 million expansion project which will allow for an additional 5,836 gravesites on 9.12 acres for the local community.
