Maj. Gen. William Crane, West Virginia adjutant general, hosted Maj. Gen. Mark Schindler, Pennsylvania adjutant general, Command Sgt. Maj. Jon Worley, Pennsylvania’s senior enlisted leader, and their wives Sept. 24 during the annual Gold Star Families Retreat at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, West Virginia. The three-day weekend getaway is held each year to honor the service and sacrifice of Gold Star Families - those whose family member died in the course of military service, including many from Pennsylvania.
