Two F-35B Lightning IIs from Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 502, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), and two F/A-18 Hornets from Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, MAG 11, 3rd MAW, conduct a memorial flyover of the funeral of U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Joseph P. Hoar (retired) at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California, Oct. 7, 2022. Flyovers honor the deceased and show respect for their service. Gen. Hoar served honorably for 37 years and held many distinguished positions including Commanding Officer, 1st Marine Regiment; Commanding General, Eastern Recruiting Region; and Commander, United States Central Command.
