Proto Delarion, program director of Eco-Tourism Batanes, teaches U.S. Marines, Sailors and Soldiers during a cultural awareness seminar at Basco State College alongside members of the Philippine Armed Forces, in Batanes, Philippines, Oct. 3, 2022. The purpose of the seminar was to teach service members the unique cultural history of the indigenous people of Batanes. KAMANDAG is an annual bilateral exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust and shared cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
