Jason MacDonald, an ocean safety program manager with Marine Corps Installations Pacific gives a speech to Marines with III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group as part of a water safety brief at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 7, 2022. The brief was conducted to bring awareness of the dangers of open water swimming and to provide service members with the knowledge to keep themselves safe. III MIG functions as the vanguard of III MEF, operating in the Indo-Pacific regions information environment, and supports Marine Air Ground Task Force operations with communications, intelligence, and supporting arms liaison capabilities.
